This tutorial will use the results from the model created in the Circuit Board Steady-State Heat Transfer Analysis tutorial. If this tutorial has not been completed, an archive of the meshed model, Circuit Board Results.ach, is available in the Tutorials\Models subdirectory of the ALGOR installation directory.
Start with the temperature profile from the steady-state heat transfer analysis.
The internal heat generation will linearly decrease to 0 over 60 seconds.
After the internal heat generation reaches 0, continue the analysis for another 240 seconds.
The convection loads will remain constant throughout the analysis with the original values.
The board and slots have a specific heat of 92.35 BTU/(lbf*s2/in*°F) and a mass density of 1.29x10-3 lbf*s2/in/in3.
