How to Share a Report
The ALGOR Report Wizard, which can be accessed from Superdraw, the FEA Editor environment,
the Superview IV Results environment or within the Report environment, can be used to automatically generate an
HTML-based report of your analysis input and results (see Figure 1). (Internet
Explorer 5 or greater is recommended to properly display all current report
features.)

the Internet or your company intranet site by using one of the following
connections:
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
- Hypertext Transfer Protocol Post (HTTP Post)
- FrontPage Extended Web (or FrontPage Extensions)
- Microsoft Site Server Content Deployment (SSCD)

with any Web browser capable of viewing HTML files.
Following is guidance on how to share a report by using these methods.

You can use the
Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard to do the following:
- Select a previously configured Web server or specify a new server
including the connection method and the target Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
- Publish your files to the specified Web server.
Then, the report can be viewed from the published location using a Web
browser.
Sending Report Files
If you want to send a report to a colleague, what files are needed?
When a
report is created, all files comprising the report are stored in a folder with
the same name as the model and a "_rpt" extension. (For example, in
Figure 1, the folder is MEMS_ACCEL2_rpt.) Therefore, send the _rpt folder and
its contents. Then the recipient will have all the files needed to view the
report.
Here are some additional considerations for sending a report:
- You can compress the complete _rpt folder with a file compression utility
such as WinZip.
- The report can be sent via e-mail, on CD-ROM or by any other means of file
transfer.
