How to Change the View Using the Number Pad Keys
ALGOR provides the capability to change the view of a model by using the number pad keys
while simultaneously pressing the <Ctrl> key when Num Lock is on. Whether your model
is in the CAD Solid Model, FEA Editor or Superview IV environment, you can use the
number pad keys to specify various model display views as shown below in Figures
1 and 2.

This provides an alternative to using the mouse or keyboard for specifying the view. For
example, you could specify the "XY Top" view in several different ways:
- With the mouse, click on the "XY Top" icon
in the
"Viewpoint" toolbar.
- With the mouse, use the "View:Orientation" command sequence and choose the
"XY Top" option in the submenu.
- With the keyboard, type the shortcut key sequence "<Alt>-V",
"O" and "T".
- With the number pad, type <Ctrl>-number pad key 8.
Thus, for ALGOR users who prefer using the number pad, the capability to specify the
view with the number pad keys provides greater flexibility, convenience and ease of use.
See the ALGOR User's Guide for more information about changing views.
