| ALGOR V16.1 Features |
|
ALGOR V16.1's new parametric meshing tools allow users to generate 2-
and 3-D structured meshes faster and more easily consider possible design
changes. Users can conveniently and quickly modify a structured mesh
when working with complex, 3-D models. This provides significant time savings
when modifying hand-built models.

The fluid flow effects of a fan can be easily simulated by applying a surface
load.
The new fan surface load capability allows users to more realistically
simulate complex CFD systems.

|
With ALGOR V16.1, users can display the flow path of selected particles in a fluid flow analysis.
This new particle-tracking feature expands the results evaluation and
presentation capabilities for CFD simulations by allowing users to
better visualize
the flow pattern of selected particles.

ALGOR V16.1 provides direct CAD/CAE data exchange with KeyCreator (formerly CADKEY) including automatic reading of part names
and colors, the unit system and view information with menu and toolbar options for
launching ALGOR from directly within KeyCreator.
|
|
|
|
ALGOR V16.1 provides an API and documentation for reading ALGOR results,
which allow users to easily access results in scripts for customized processing
such as design optimization.
V16.1 also provides an API for using the automatic 3-D meshing tools.

New in ALGOR V16.1, contact diagnostic probes identify areas of possible convergence difficulty in a Mechanical Event Simulation model.
These probes are automatically displayed at contact problem areas in order
to provide information about contact behavior. This information
helps users determine whether a model needs modified in order to
obtain a converged solution.

Improved results evaluation and presentation capabilities in ALGOR V16.1 include the ability to display sliced models using transparency.
This new display capability provides additional flexibility for evaluating and presenting analysis results.
