FLUID 2-D ELEMENT
The fluid 2-D element supports two velocity degrees of freedom at nodes and one pressure degree of freedom at the center of the element. It is available for both steady and unsteady analyses. Planar elements are useful for flow situations where the flow is identical in parallel planes. Axisymmetric elements are useful for flow situations where the flow is symmetric about an axis, such as with laminar flow through a pipe.
