Linear Static Stress Analysis of Refinery Stripping Tower Engineers at Dynamic Analysis, Inc. used linear static stress analysis to aid in the design of the reboiler support system on this refinery stripping tower. The stresses in this load case are from an 80 psi internal pressure loading. Portions of the model were built with the PV/Designer wizard.

Pressure Vessel Design using PV/Designer An engineer uses one of ALGOR's geometry templates, PV/Designer, to create this pressure vessel. The model is then constrained and an internal pressure is applied. Finally, ALGOR's post-processor and stress linearization utility are used to study the response of the pressure vessel due to the applied loading. |

Linear Static Stress Analysis of a Level Switch Tank Engineers at SDP Engineering, Inc. verified that this level switch tank meets code stress requirements with linear static stress analysis. PV/Designer was used to model portions of the tank, which is part of a blast furnace gas scrubber system. |
