Mechanical Event Simulation of a Helicopter Floor

| Mr. Gabriel Ayala used Mechanical Event Simulation to analyze the effects of dropping a 300-lb mass, representing a box of tools, onto the floor of a helicopter. The toolbox was allowed to free fall from a height of 3 feet before impacting a section of the floor. The resulting deflections and stresses were evaluated to determine the suitability of the design. | ||
