Linear Static Stress Analysis of a Pillow Block & Roller

| ALGOR DesignCheck Professional was used to analyze the displacement and stresses of this pillow block and roller. The assembly was modeled using half-symmetry with surface contact specified between the bearing and pillow block housing. A large upward force was applied along the bottom of the roller. Rocking of the spherically mounted bearing, due to shaft deflection, is apparent in the animated results. | ||
