ALGOR offers Qalifax for immediate notification by fax in the event that ALGOR confirms a software or documentation problem that could cause potentially undetectable incorrect output to be produced by the software. Qalifax has been designed to comply with the reporting requirements of 10CFR21 of the Code of Federal Regulations and is available on an annual subscription basis to any ALGOR customer with a current Software Upgrade Subscription.
Qalifax notices, called Quality Assurance Bulletins (QABs), contain:
1. the name of the module or document in which the problem exists;
2. a description of the nature, impact and scope of the problem; and
3. suggested workarounds, for avoiding the problem until it has been resolved.
Qalifax subscribers must designate an official contact person who is responsible to:
1. acknowledge receipt of a QAB by faxing the receipt portion of the QAB to the ALGOR QA Administrator;
2. disseminate the QAB information to all ALGOR users in his/her organization; and
3. ensure installation of updated versions of ALGOR software and documentation which correct problems.
An alternate contact person, who will assume these responsibilities in the absence of the official contact, must also be designated.
