ALGOR INTRODUCES NEW SOLUTION PARTNER PROGRAM

PITTSBURGH, PA – January 22, 2004 – ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, announced a new Solution Partner Program that provides the opportunity for third-party software vendors to offer complementary software solutions through the ALGOR FEMPRO interface. This new opportunity for partnering with ALGOR is part of an initiative to maximize users’ productivity through an open design environment in which the software tools of multiple, best-in-class vendors are available within ALGOR’s single user interface, FEMPRO.

“Our Solution Partner Program creates opportunities for third-party software developers to offer their software to over 20,000 customers in 95 countries,” said ALGOR President and CEO Michael L. Bussler. “In addition, our customers will benefit from having new value-added tools available within FEMPRO that are easy to access and expand the range of solutions we can offer.”

FEMPRO provides the foundation for this new open design environment through the addition of an all-new Add-In Manager and the current development of an extensive integration toolkit that includes scripting tools and an application programming interface (API).

Plug-ins may include calculators for computing loads; industry-specific applications for designing or laying out products; CAM software; mathematical software to analyze costs or perform design optimization; specialized analysis tools such as acoustics, fatigue and electromagnetics; photorealistic rendering software and presentation tools; design cycle support capabilities such as Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM); and much more.

“The ALGOR Solution Partner Program provides third-party software developers with the tools and support necessary to integrate their applications directly with ALGOR’s suite of design, analysis and simulation software,” said ALGOR Product Manager Bob Williams. “We work closely with ALGOR Solution Partners throughout the integration process by offering technical, sales and marketing assistance.”

Participants in the program receive:

• a welcome kit with everything needed to get started including copies of our product literature, an ALGOR Solution Partner Logos CD-ROM and information about the use of logos and marketing materials
• software to learn first-hand about FEMPRO
• the HTML Programming with ALGOR Guide with robust search and index capabilities
• access to our development teams for technical implementation assistance
• sales channel support including access to a large domestic and international customer base
• joint marketing and business opportunities, such as application stories and trade publication coverage
• support for tradeshows and industry conferences, such as the use of marketing materials
