ENHANCED REPORT WIZARD SPEEDS UP ENGINEERING DESIGN REPORTS

ALGOR’s report wizard and environment now feature an improved format, easier navigation, the ability to include additional input and output data and built-in options for customizing output.

PITTSBURGH, PA – May 14, 2003 – ALGOR, Inc., a leading maker of software for mechanical engineers, announced that its report wizard and environment now feature an improved format, easier navigation, the ability to include additional input and output data and built-in options for customizing output. The report wizard automatically collects information related to any finite element analysis (FEA) and automatically generates an organized, professional report in standard HyperText Markup Language (HTML). The report wizard is available for all analysis types and is supported by a wide range of image and animation options along with report customization tools.

Reports are displayed within the report environment in FEMPRO, a complete and easy-to-use finite element modeling, results evaluation and presentation interface. Reports can be printed or shared through any common Internet browser and modified using any HTML-editing software. 

Enhancements to the report wizard and environment include:

• an updated report format that is concise and easy to navigate
• improved ability to navigate reports using an expanded table of contents in the tree view
• new load and constraint summary sections
• ability to include additional types of output, including electrostatic analysis results, reaction forces and mass properties
• ability to specify an image file to be used as the title logo
• ability to insert text file content as a user-defined appendix entry
• ability to modify the order of user-defined appendix entries
• ability to modify the format of tables
